Marching Bands of Europe (MBE), Formed in 2005, is a democratic Federation which aims to contribute to the development and promotion of the marching band activity in Europe. As from 2008 MBE has been accepted by the International Confederation of Music Societies (CISM) as the organisation with the expertise to represent this activity within the confederation, providing an opportunity to liaise with marching band organisations in 38 European Countries.
As MBE develops it hopes to support cultural exchanges and encourage the sharing of good practice. MBE is a totally voluntary not-for-profit organisation with limited resources. At the present time its main role is to provide information and a communication channel for bands, leaders, adjudicators and the public.
